The term "Antiqued" is that which describes the process applied to the boxwood pieces resulting in the appearance of a fine aged old set preferred by many collectors and serious chess players alike. There is something about the patina of an aged old chess set that is most appealing to the eye. The dark pieces are constructed using only the finest jet black Ebony wood.

The artisans of Amritsar, the city of the golden temple in India, who have produced this fine heirloom are to be congratulated for producing this chess set that in esscence encapsulates the atmosphere of a bygone era, which is sought by connoissuers and enthusiasts of the antique chess market.

The King stands at a majestic 4.00 inches, with a base diameter of 1.7/8 inches and weighs in at 89 g. This beautiful set is supplied with 4 Queens!. The pieces have leather fitted pads to their base.
