Shipping & Returns

DELIVERY 

Orders placed before 1:00pm will be shipped same day. Orders placed after 1.00pm will be shipped the following working day. We ship orders Monday to Friday. All orders received on the weekend will be shipped the following Monday excluding bank holidays. You can choose between the UK free shipping option, or our express guaranteed next working day delivery service.

CHANGE OF MIND


If you change your mind you must advise your return  via email (cm1@chessmazeinternational.com) within 14 days of delivery  failure to do so will nullify your right to cancel/return.

Once we have confirmed your return you have an open 30 days return policy. Products may only be returned if unused and in original condition (in original retail packaging an saleable condition)  Return postage is not paid for by Chessmaze. Returns must be sent using an insured courier service with traceable data. Refunds will not be given under any circumstance for damaged returns. If a parcel retuned to us sustains damage whilst in transit, the customer is advised to seek recourse with the courier.

No Restocking Fees


We do not charge restocking fees, however it is important that you return items in new condition or as close to new condition as possible. Customers are expected to pay for return postage charges except in certain damage cases (see Damages) excluding multi-buy purchasing. 

Refunds and Store Credits


A refund by check or credit card will be automatically given unless a store credit is specifically requested by the customer. Store credits can be applied to future orders or later requested as a cash refund. Postage fees are non-refundable.

Postage Fee Refunds


Generally Postage fees are non-refundable. However, the Postage fees will be waived or credited if a shipping error is made by Chessmaze International. In this event, we'll cover the cost to replace the product and return. 
 
Damages

You will not be charged for postage twice if a product arrives damaged and requires replacement. If a product arrives in damaged condition, please contact us immediately and within 7 days by email: cm1@chessmazeinternational.com .

Claims for damage must be reported to us within 7 days of receipt of goods otherwise the claim will not be valid.

Please provide as much detail as possible. We will work quickly to replace the damaged merchandise. Save the product and packaging and wait for further instructions. We will usually be sending a replacement right away and the damages will be handled separately. Please don't simply return it - we need to process a claim with the shipping carrier first.

Returning the Product

Please return the goods well packaged using a “signed for” insured and traceable  Postal service.
You will be required to provide proof of your return and postage cost. A receipt to validate cost will be required. No refund will be given for merchandise damaged due to poor packaging by customer.
Please allow 7-10 days processing time for credit adjustments on modified orders or returns.

The new Consumer Contracts Regulations


The Consumer Contracts Regulations extend this right to 14 days from the day you receive your goods.
Many online retailers extend this even further so be sure to read the terms and conditions carefully as you may have longer to return unwanted items


SUMMARY


The Consumer Contracts Regulations, which came into effect on 13 June 2014, give you 14 calendar days from the day after you receive your goods to cancel
You are responsible for returning the item within 14 calendar days of cancelling and refunds must be paid within 14 calendar days after returning the goods, or evidence that they were returned. If returning a multi buy  parcel order, the weight of parcel must be recorded. 
You still have rights under the Sale of Goods Act for returning faulty goods bought online.
