We have designed a special Knight for the Imperial Collector Series, with its downward sloping head, weaved mane, flared nostrils, and icy stare this is by far amongst the most spectacular chess pieces ever incorporated into a production Staunton chess set.
These chessboards are handmade. The playing squares and border are solid wood and are attached to a core of solid material with a method that is designed to prevent checking or warping from wood movement due to changes in temperature and humidity. The playing squares are approximately 13mm thick. The boards are finished in a durable varnish with a nice semi-gloss shine. The bottom of the boards are covered in green felt. A one year manufacturers warranty is included.
